Jean-Saville Cummings is a life science executive supporting government policy development and implementation in the eastern Caribbean state of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. With academic and professional training in the US, Europe and the Caribbean, Jean-Saville is experienced in planning, conducting, managing, documenting, and reporting on full-scale scientific projects. Subsequent training in project management and business administration has allowed Jean-Saville to expand into regulatory and consultancy work.
Currently serving as Chief of the Technical Department at the Medicinal Cannabis Authority, Jean-Saville leads the development of technical industry regulations, infrastructure and guidelines. As an extension to this role, he coordinates with other government agencies, private and civil organizations in the establishment of frameworks that support local expansion into the pharmaceutical sector.
In addition to a part-time lecturing position at a local medical school, Jean-Saville also serves as Chairperson of the National Standards Council. This body oversees the operations of the Bureau of Standards and its drive to establish standardized production models that support economic development in this small island developing state.
